Patch a copy of your ROM and save the result with a new filename. Do not replace your original game file.

The creator documentation does not list a confirmed ROM checksum, so start with a clean, unmodified FireRed ROM if the patcher reports a problem.

How to play

Patch the game in three steps

Select your clean Pokemon FireRed ROM in the browser patcher.

Save the new GBA file and open it in a compatible emulator.

Compatibility

Start with a clean FireRed ROM

The creator documentation does not list a confirmed ROM checksum or emulator compatibility table. Use a clean, unmodified Pokemon FireRed ROM and keep the original file backed up.

Existing FireRed save compatibility is not officially confirmed. Starting a new save is recommended because Pokemon FRLG.ips changes events, encounters and hidden game progress.
